Committees
In service to our Lord
Our Congregation's service expands beyond the Sanctuary into the world, through the work of eager, dedicated members of our Congregation, working together in Committees.
These Committees help us to remain in God's grace by understanding His word, sharing of our talents and caring for all who are in need.

Music & Worship
Forks' music programs are led by our talented Director of Music and organist, Mrs.Cheryl Hahn.

Music is a large part of our Church life. The performers bring life and emotion and meaning into our worship. And these dedicated Christians go well beyond the choir loft and bell stands to share their time with us through dinners and other fund raising projects

| The Chancel Choir is a mixed chorale of about 20 men and women who participate in our 10:00 am worship about 40 weeks each year.
At times the choir is enhanced by the enthusiasm and beauty of young voices from our Youth Group |
| And at other times the sanctuary resonates with the voices of our men's choir |
The Bell Choir, our Righteous Ringers, are scheduled to perform less often and bring another feel to the service... a joy found in the clarity of the bells, a quiet humor in the joy of the players, and music that blends with the Word.
We may seem surrounded by music when several members of the Church participate playing the organ or the Clavinova... or when musical talents gather a brass ensemble or string trio to add a special touch to those special occasions. |

| Mission in Action
Ours is not a Mission Committee, but one of Mission in Action. While we make certain that a major part of our stewardship supports those in need, this committee makes certain we have many opportunities to put our time and talents to work as well. |
| Parish Life
Stimulating Christian friendships by providing opportunities to gather and share in fellowship. |
| Stewardship and Finance
Like the first deacons, these hard working men and women keep our Church fiscally sound, while providing a meaningful share of our gifts to God for His missions.
Stewardship also has a sub-committee which manages our small endowment fund. |
| Property
We are blessed with our church and education building, a parcel of land and pavilion for church activities, an additional tract of land across the street and a rental home. The Property committee oversees the maintenance of all these facilities. |
| Personnel
With a growing staff, we have an active program of personnel evaluation, education and counsel. |

| Christian Education
The Christian Education Committee at Forks UCC strives to provide a variety of educational enrichment opportunities for people across generations. We invite you to participate in an assortment of educational, service, mission and fellowship activities to nurture children, youth and adults in the life of the Christian faith.
In addition to our regular Sunday morning educational opportunities for all ages, the Christian Education Committee throughout the year also sponsors: retreats, Book Clubs, special Holiday Workshops, children's musical programs, numerous Youth Group activities including a Relay for Life Cancer Walk Youth Team, and more. |

| Evangelism
Jesus told us that part of our job was to reach out and spread the word. Forks Church is active in doing just that, led by the efforts of the Evangelism Committee. The committee members provide information and energy, so we may bring an understanding of Christianity to those around us.
Ours is not a chest beating outreach, but one of quiet sharing, and plentiful caring, to show, rather than tell what Christ means in our lives. |
